THE CLIENT’S STATUTORY RIGHTS AS A CONSUMER ARE NOT AFFECTED BY ANY OF THE PROVISIONS OF THIS AGREEMENT.
By making an enquiry to VMRHomeStaging either through an online enquiry form or by telephone or email, VMRHomeStaging will contact you to discuss your requirements further. You are under no obligation to take up any proposed services or buy goods and may choose to decline any quotation provided to you. Your statutory rights are not affected.
VMRHomeStaging will not give structural advice and are not authorised to give structural advice. Before undertaking any structural alterations or major repairs to a property you should seek professional advice from a suitably qualified structural surveyor, architect or builder.
VMRHomeStaging provides a range of property staging and styling advice, home improvement advice, furniture, accessory, house dressing supplies and services in the UK.
VMRHomeStaging initial consultations provide advice and recommendations. These will take approximately two hours and the majority of the house will be viewed and discussed during this visit. Cellars and loft spaces without a full staircase are not included and VMR HomeStaging maintains the right to exclude any areas at any time.
VMRHomeStaging e-consultation provides a summary report within seven days, involving recommendations and advice.
VMRHomeStaging Home Staging Report provides a written down summary, including a room-by -room report. This will include recommendations and advice.
VMRHomeStaging provides advice, information and recommendations in good faith and the client should satisfy themselves, before taking action as a result of information found on this web site or information provided by VMRHomeStaging that they are satisfied with the cost effective measures recommended.
VMRHomeStaging provides suggestions and techniques aimed to improve property appearance and are recognised to increase property appeal to buyers. House selling price and the speed of sale are proven to increase using home staging techniques. However, VMRHomeStaging cannot guarantee a faster sale or an increase in property value.
As soon as it is able to do so VMRHomeStaging shall specify the date on which it intends to commence the services and the estimated completion date. All such dates shall be approximate only and while VMRHomeStaging shall use its reasonable endeavours to meet the estimated completion date VMRHomeStaging shall not be liable for any delay in completion and time shall not be of the essence of the Agreement.
The Client shall:-
1.1 permit VMRHomeStaging, its employees, sub-contractors, agents and other appointed representatives access to the Property at all reasonable times for the purposes of providing the services, delivering goods and materials and/or carrying out works;
1.2 ensure a supply of water and power at the Property sufficient for the purpose of carrying out works and such services shall be supplied at no cost to VMRHomeStaging;
1.3 be responsible for any loss or damage to any goods, materials, tools or equipment delivered to or stored at the Property except to the extent that such damage arises from VMRHomeStaging’s failure to take reasonable care; and
1.4 be responsible for home contents insurance to cover all items loaned to the Client by VMRHomeStaging for the entire duration of the loan including but not limited to antique furniture.
2.1 Any goods and materials supplied by VMRHomeStaging shall be of satisfactory quality and fit for their purpose.
2.2 If the Client requires any particular goods and materials to be supplied by VMRHomeStaging he/she must provide written details of these when returning the Estimate. In the absence of such specification the goods and materials supplied shall be selected at VMRHomeStaging’s absolute discretion and the Client shall not be entitled to reject goods and materials selected by VMRHomeStaging unless they have been supplied in breach of clause 2.1.
2.3 If the Client requests that VMRHomeStaging use goods or materials supplied by him/her for the purposes of providing the services, VMRHomeStaging shall do so on the strict understanding that VMRHomeStaging has no responsibility as to their quality or suitability. Any losses or damages, which may flow from the use of such goods or materials, will be the sole responsibility of the Client.
2.4 VMRHomeStaging shall provide the services using reasonable care and skill.
2.5 VMRHomeStaging shall not be liable for any defect in any goods and materials supplied and any works carried out which arise from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, negligence of the Client, failure to follow VMRHomeStaging’s instructions (whether oral or in writing) or alterations made without VMRHomeStaging’s approval.
2.6 VMRHomeStaging is under no obligation to produce receipts to the Client for goods or materials supplied except in the case of electrical appliances, which are under the manufacturer’s guarantee.
2.7 Whilst the services supplied by VMRHomeStaging are designed to make the Property more marketable VMRHomeStaging gives no guarantee that the Property will be sold or rented following completion of the services.
Prices and Quotations
Quotation: A quotation will always be accompanied by a terms and conditions document covering relevant terms and conditions within trading law.
Charges: fees for services will be charged at the rates stated by VMRHomeStaging.
Payments. VMRHomeStaging will give you a receipt immediately for any cash payment and provide a confirmation invoice by post or email. For other services VMRHomeStaging will arrange payment by the most suitable agreed method.
3.1 The price is exclusive of applicable VAT.
3.2 Unless otherwise agreed in writing by VMRHomeStaging a payment equivalent to 50% of the total price shall be payable prior to commencement of the works and supply of the goods and materials following an initial or e-consultation. The Client should note that commencement of the works and supply of the goods and materials will not take place until VMRHomeStaging has received this payment in cleared funds.
3.3 All payments shall be payable within 10 working days from the date of request.
3.4 The balance of the total price shall be payable within 10 days from the date of completion of the contract.
3.5 Payments may be made in cash or by bank transfer.
3.6 Should the Client fail to pay any invoice submitted by VMRHomeStaging, VMRHomeStaging may, without prejudice to any other right or remedy available to VMRHomeStaging charge the Client interest (both before and after judgement) at the rate of 4% per annum above the base rate of Barclays Bank Plc from the due date until payment in full is made.
3.7 Ownership of the goods and materials supplied and paid for by VMRHomeStaging or its agents, whether installed or not, shall not pass to the Client until all invoices rendered by VMRHomeStaging to the Client have been paid in full and until such time the Client shall keep the goods and materials in good repair and condition and properly protected and insured.
Property prices: VMRHomeStaging is not authorised to give property valuations.
VMRHomeStaging will follow up any complaint from customers contracting our services. We will always endeavour to take action in order to ensure a high level of service offered to VMRHomeStaging customers.
